# People Search
## Spot the stars before they shine—Inven’s new People filter gives you the inside edge, helping you discover high-potential startups by tracking what matters most: exceptional founders.
This powerful filter lets you search for companies based on the people behind them, combining criteria like past work experience (e.g., ex-Unicorn employees, serial founders), current titles (e.g., CEO, owner), company details (e.g., industry, private/public), and even funding stage. This helps you effortlessly find specific types of companies and the key individuals driving them, for example, founders nearing retirement in a specific industry or founders with prior successful exits now starting new ventures.
Curious how it works? Let’s break it down.
### Filters Built to Spot Unicorns
Inven offers multiple intelligent filters to zero in on top founders and teams:
**Founder highlights**
Quickly find companies based on key founder milestones, such as:
- Prior exits
- VC-backed experience
- Previous capital raised
**Past professional experience**
Identify startups founded by alumni of top firms like McKinsey, Google, and Amazon by filtering companies by their founders’ backgrounds.
**Current role and tenure**
Narrow your search by filtering founders based on their current roles and tenure.
